Maison Morey Coffinet - Burgundy Côte d'Or - White 2021
Domaine Morey-Coffinet is located in Chassagne-Montrachet , in Burgundy . It was created in 1978 by the merger of Domaine Marc Morey and Domaine Fernand Coffinet. The vineyard is operated by Thibault Morey , from a family of winegrowers. Most of the vineyard is located in Chassagne-Montrachet with in particular the Premiers Crus Romanée, En Remilly and Les Caillerets as well as a Premier Cru plot in Puligny-Montrachet and another, 13 ares, in the Grand-Cru Bâtard -Montrachet. Maison Morey-Coffinet buys grapes or must for the production of cuvées. All the vines are cultivated according to biodynamic methods , with certification in organic farming .
Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc comes from Chardonnay vines planted in 1988, 2001 and 2012 on an area of 0.96 hectares. The wine is aged for 10 months in 228 and 350 liter oak barrels , with 25% new wood .
