Domaine Jean Michel Stephan - Coteaux de Tupin 2020
Maison Stéphan is located in Tupin-et-Semons, in Côte-Rôtie in the Rhône Valley. Jean-Michel Stéphan , through his father and his great-grandfather, comes from a family of market gardeners and fruit growers. Originally, the wine estate comprised 2 hectares in AOC Côte-Rôtie whose grapes were sold to a local wine merchant. It was not until 1994 that the first bottles of the estate were marketed. In 1991, Jean-Michel Stéphan created the estate and started producing organic wine in 1995. The first production of natural wine followed in 1997, with the approach of Jules Chauvet. In 2017, Jean-Michel Stéphan joined forces with his son Romain to create Maison Stéphan and began to build its future.
Côteaux de Tupin is made from Serine , grown on Gneiss soil. It is aged for 24 months in old oak barrels from the Jupille forest.
