Domaine Loïc Mahé - Xouton Rouge 2023
Domaine Loïc Mahé is located in Savennières, in the Loire Valley. The first vines were planted in 2000. Subsequently, some promising plots were gradually taken over, while others had to be abandoned following the successive spring frosts of 2016 and 2017. Loïc Mahé now cultivates 4.5 hectares of certified organic vines and also operates a wine trading business . As part of this trading activity, he offers vintages produced in collaboration with other trusted organic or biodynamic winegrowers.
Xouton Rouge is a blend of Cabernet Franc (2/3) and Grolleau (1/3) from the merchant vineyard. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats.
Grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Grolleau
"Xouton Rouge 2023 is the Loire that uncorks good humor: a light, crisp, unoaked red. Strawberry, redcurrant, a touch of pepper, all ready to drink!"
