The Domaine de Bellevue is managed by Jérôme Bretaudeau, a major figure in the Nantes vineyard, recognized for his in-depth work on terroirs and for having restored Melon de Bourgogne to a place among the great gastronomic white wines. Based in Gétigné, he runs his estate using biodynamics, with extreme attention to soils, natural balances, and the precision of aging. Each cuvée from the estate is conceived as a sensitive reading of a place, far from appellation standards, with an assumed freedom always guided by taste. The cuvée Justice 2024 is an emblematic expression of the estate’s work, made from Melon de Bourgogne and vinified outside the strict appellation framework to preserve total freedom of interpretation. Coming from a parcel identified for the uniqueness of its soil, this cuvée primarily seeks to translate the uprightness and tension inherent to the grape variety when worked at a high level. The 2024 vintage highlights freshness and energy, with just the right maturity allowing for a precise and luminous expression. Vinification is conducted with restraint, in a low-intervention spirit, to preserve the aromatic purity and natural structure of the wine. The aging, carried out patiently, supports the material without ever masking it, enhancing the sensation of depth and balance.
