This limited edition celebrates the fusion between Tokyo and Paris by revisiting the spirit of Montmartre through the art of Japanese whisky. This unique blend is the result of a complex assembly: several new French oak barrels, a Spanish oak barrel that once contained sherry, and other French barrels, offering a rich and balanced aromatic profile. On the nose, we perceive an elegant bouquet combining ripe fruits, dried flowers, vanilla and a touch of sweet spices. On the palate, the strength of 50.50% softens thanks to a silky texture: notes of pear, candied citrus, gingerbread and toasted oak. The finish is long, harmonious, with reminiscences of caramel and a subtle woody note. This Paris Edition 2025 from the Itinéraires range is a rare vintage intended for demanding amateurs, eager to explore innovative aromatic territories.

Chichibu Paris Edition 2025 – Montmartre , bottled at 50.50% , is an exclusive creation from the Chichibu distillery, produced for the Itinéraires du Whisky Live 2025 collection. Founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, the distillery embodies the new generation of artisanal Japanese whisky: production in small volumes, complete control of the process and careful selection of casks. Each special edition pays homage to a place or an idea, combining the precision of the Chichibu style with a singular cultural interpretation.

This “Montmartre” edition , made from a blend of single malts aged in different types of casks – bourbon, new oak and sherry – celebrates the bohemian and artistic spirit of the Parisian district. The choice of a controlled 50.50% alcohol content offers a balanced aromatic intensity, both ample and legible, faithful to the signature of the Paris Edition series.

The nose reveals a rich, indulgent aroma: vanilla, honey, ripe yellow fruits, and a hint of pastry, complemented by deeper notes of toasted hazelnut and dried flowers. On the palate, the texture is dense yet elegant, marked by flavors of poached pear, sweet oak, and salted butter caramel. The malty structure, fine and precise, stretches towards a long, slightly spicy finish, where candied citrus, tonka bean, and a subtle salinity mingle.

A refined and expressive Chichibu , both vibrant and harmonious, which combines Japanese precision with a typically Parisian sensuality.
