You will find 3 grape varieties in this Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion: just over three-quarters of Merlot, one-fifth of Cabernet Franc and the rest in Cabernet Sauvignon, with vines that are 35 years old on average. They occupy a mosaic of soils - alluvium, molasses, limestone, clay - which contribute to the complexity and depth of this cuvée.
The 11 hectares are harvested by hand once the balance between tannic maturity and aromatic freshness has been achieved . There follows a drastic sorting, a plot-based vinification with little intervention and an 18-month aging with around 60% new barrels.
