Domaine André Brunel - Les Pebbles 2019
The Domaine André Brunel (also called Domaine Les Cailloux) is located in Sorgues, in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the Southern Rhône . In 1954, Lucien Brunel created the Les Cailloux brand in order to be able to develop and publicize the specificities and qualities of the estate's wines. In 1971, André Brunel took over the running of the estate. Under his leadership, it will experience rapid growth, notably with the purchase of vines in Côtes du Rhône and Vin de Pays de Vaucluse. He also introduced significant changes in the process of vine management by being one of the first in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to practice grassing and to have a non-chemical approach to vine growing. In 2012, his son, Fabrice Brunel , joined him in order to perpetuate the family history. The estate has 21 hectares in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (including 2 hectares of white) spread over ten districts, 40 hectares in Côtes du Rhône and 30 hectares in Vins de Pays.
