DOMAINE GRAMENON - It's thirsty 2021
Domaine Gramenon was created in 1978 and is located in Montbrison-Sur-Lez in Drôme Provençale, at the foot of the first pre-Alpine foothills. The estate is located 350 meters above sea level in the northernmost part of the southern Côtes du Rhône . It is managed by Michèle Aubery and her son Maxime François Laurent .
Les Vins de Maxime is a petty trade activity. It was created by Maxime-François Laurent in 2006, alongside the estate. It is a partnership with a neighboring winegrower whose vines extend over approximately 6 hectares and are located in the communes of Montbrison sur lez and Valréas. The plots and the work of the vine are monitored throughout the year, the entire vineyard is cultivated without chemicals in respect of the living. The harvest is done manually in crates, the harvest is sorted in the vineyard. Maxime vinifies all of the wines released under his label. Vinification is as natural as possible: no addition of sulfur during vatting, indigenous yeasts ensure fermentation, no fining or filtration, only a slight sulphiting after malolactic fermentation.
Il Fait Soif is a blend of Grenache (70%), Syrah (20%) and Cinsault (10%) from young vines between 15 and 30 years old. The harvest is partially destemmed and the maceration lasts 15 days in concrete vats. The wine is aged for 6 months in vats.
Grapes: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault
