Monluc - Vin Sauvage Tuilé - Extra Dry
Château de Monluc is located in Saint-Puy, in the Gers department. Created in 1963, the famous Pousse Rapière cocktail is consumed as an aperitif and is the result of mixing Pousse Rapière liqueur combined with Vin Sauvage, the traditional method sparkling wine from Château de Monluc. The recipe for Pousse Rapière is an armagnac liqueur flavored with bitter orange . This liqueur is an exclusive production of Château de Monluc whose recipe is kept secret. Pousse Rapière exists at three different levels of alcohol: 20%, 24% and 36%.
Vin Sauvage Tuilé is made from Ugni Blanc and Gros Manseng . The wines are blended then bottled with a liqueur for second fermentation using the traditional method. Red wine is added to the expedition liqueur . With its Extra Dry dosage, it contains between 12 and 17 g/L of residual sugar.
