Sandrone - Barolo Le Vigne 2019
Azienda Agricola Luciano Sandrone is located in Barolo, Piedmont , Italy . The estate was founded in 1978, a year after Luciano Sandrone purchased a small plot of the famous Cannubi vineyard. Initially, the wines were made in the garage of his parents' house. A trip to Vinitaly in 1982 allowed Luciano to sell all of his 1978 Barolo to an American distributor, providing the starting point for a long, slow period of growth with the purchase of plots of Cannubi and other additional vineyards. In the cellar, all fermentations are spontaneous thanks to the use of native yeasts. The grapes are vinified separately by grape variety as well as by individual plot to allow better control of the blending process.
The 2019 Barolo Le Vigne is made from Nebbiolo grown in the villages of Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Monteforte d'Alba, Novello and Serralunga d'Alba. After maceration, fermentation takes place in open stainless steel tanks . The wine is aged in 500 liter French oak barrels , followed by 18 months in bottle.
Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo
