Clos Constantin - Kaolinite 2023
Clos Constantin is located in Argelliers, on the Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc . It was founded in 2017 by Pierre Halley and Samuel Durand , through the acquisition of the vineyard of Pierre's great-grandfather, Constantin. They cultivate 15 hectares of vines certified organic , and in conversion to biodynamics. The plots, located between 200 and 230 meters above sea level, benefit from a refreshing microclimate that mitigates the effects of the Mediterranean climate.
Kaolinite is made from Syrah grown on limestone and kaolin clay soils. The wine is aged for 18 months in concrete vats .
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
"Kaolinite 2023 impresses with its contained depth: filigree black fruits, smoky nuances, and a touch of graphite. The long aging in concrete vats refines its texture without masking the limestone-clay terroir."
