Champagne Drémont-Marroy is located in Charly-sur-Marne, in the Marne Valley in Champagne . The family estate is now managed by Jean-Rémi and Mélanie Drémont . Their great-grandmother, Odette Drémont, was a winemaker and teacher. Their grandparents, Jean-Marie and Geneviève Drémont, were farmers and breeders, and cultivated only 1 hectare of vines. It was under the leadership of their parents, Jean-Louis Drémont and Françoise Marroy, that the vineyard expanded from 1 to 7.5 hectares. The estate extends over 4 villages and includes 23 plots. Jean-Rémi and Mélanie Drémont practice viticulture that is close to and respectful of nature and biodiversity. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2022.
Éclosion Meunier is made from Meunier from the 2019 vintage. Vinification is carried out in ovoid concrete vats (60%) and in wood (40%) for 11 months on lees. The champagne is aged on slats for 4 years . It is bottled without dosage.
Grape variety: 100% Meunier
"A characterful Champagne, Éclosion Meunier 2019 combines depth and liveliness. The nose opens with notes of ripe pear, dried fruit, and lightly toasted brioche. On the palate, the attack is precise and tense, with a beautiful mineral energy."
