Champagne Nowack - Tuilerie - Extra Brut
The Champagnes Nowack, located in Vandières in the Marne Valley, embody a modern and demanding parcel-based interpretation of Champagne. Flavien Nowack, heir to a family of winemakers since 1795, works his 3.6 hectares with remarkable precision, isolating each terroir to reveal its unique identity. The vinifications are carried out delicately, often with aging in wood, and the dosages are deliberately low to preserve tension and purity. Each cuvée reflects an artisanal approach where the energy of the wine takes precedence over artifice. Tuilerie fully fits into this refined and elegant vision.
Tuilerie Extra Brut is based on a remarkable vintage base praised by Flavien for its maturity and balance. Made exclusively from Chardonnay, it comes from the Tuilerie parcel, composed of white sands and marls, bringing minerality and finesse. Aging in barrels gives the wine volume and complexity without altering the natural freshness of the vintage. The Extra Brut dosage, with 2 g of residual sugar, highlights the purity and precision of the whole. This cuvée expresses a harmonious balance between tension and breadth.
On tasting, the Champagne seduces with its great finesse and mineral brightness. The nose reveals notes of fresh citrus, white flowers, and a subtle chalky touch. The palate is energetic, ample, and precise, supported by beautiful freshness and elegant texture. The finish is long, salivating, and vibrant, leaving a remarkable impression of purity. This Extra Brut Champagne will ideally accompany seafood, fine fish, or iodized cuisine, revealing all its precision at the table.
