Chichibu Paris Edition 2025 – Asakusa, bottled at 50.50%, is a limited edition from the Chichibu distillery, created for the Itinéraires series. Founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, Chichibu has established itself as one of Japan's most respected artisanal distilleries. Each vintage from its cellars reflects the extreme precision of the blending work, the purity of the distillate, and the search for a sincere expression of Japanese terroir.

This “Asakusa” edition pays homage to one of Tokyo’s most iconic neighborhoods, a cradle of traditions and popular energy. The whisky is crafted from a blend of carefully selected casks—primarily ex-bourbon and sherry—offering a blend of malty sweetness and woody complexity. Bottled at 50.50%, it expresses a perfect balance of power and elegance, in the precise and vibrant style unique to Chichibu.

The nose opens with delicate aromas of honey, vanilla, and ripe apple, complemented by notes of dried fruit, toasted sesame, and light incense reminiscent of the temples of Asakusa. On the palate, the texture is ample, silky, and structured: flavors of candied pear, brown sugar, and roasted malt are found, balanced by citrus freshness and a touch of salt. The finish is long and harmonious, displaying accents of noble wood, sweet spices, and nuts.
