DBM - Bonne-Mère Distillery - Old Rum - VO - 43%
Located in the north of Basse-Terre in Guadeloupe, the Bonne-Mère Distillery is part of a history that began at the end of the 18th century and was officially founded in 1863. Integrated into the La Martiniquaise group since 1998, it is today one of the major distilleries in the archipelago, with an impressive cellar of nearly 10,000 barrels, one of the largest in the Overseas Territories. This unique heritage allows it to produce traditional rums, renowned for their authenticity and elegance.
Rhum Vieux VO (Very Old) , bottled at 43% , embodies DBM's desire to offer a rum with an accessible and refined character. Aged for several years in oak barrels, it reveals a maturity balanced between roundness, power and aromatic richness. A true gateway to the world of the distillery's old rums, it seduces with its generous and perfectly mastered style.
Its deep amber color announces a gourmet nose, dominated by notes of vanilla, dried fruits and salted butter caramel, enhanced by an elegant woody touch. On the palate, the attack is supple and velvety, evolving towards flavors of candied fruits, sweet spices and cocoa. The finish, long and warm, leaves a harmonious impression of honey and toasted oak. A balanced and refined rum, ideal both for tasting neat or paired with a gourmet dessert.
