DBM - Bonne-Mère Distillery - Old Rum - XO - 43%
Anchored in Guadeloupe (North Basse-Terre) , the Bonne-Mère Distillery perpetuates a heritage born at the end of the 18th century and which became a distillery in 1863. Integrated into the La Martiniquaise group since 1998, it produces traditional rums in a vast cellar of around 10,000 barrels , one of the largest in the Overseas Territories.
The XO “Grande Réserve” – Cuvée Eden (43%) is a blend of rums aged between 6 and 15 years minimum , sought after for its elegance and complexity, combining woody notes and ripe fruits. Several 2025 distinctions highlight the house's high standards.
Intense and silky nose: acacia honey, syrup, caramel, candied citrus fruits and dried fruits on a woody-spice background (fern, nutmeg). Lively and long palate, with integrated tannins, taking up the fruit (fruit brandy), a delicate undergrowth and a full, roasted finish , with a touch of blond tobacco . Ochre brown color, clear and brilliant.
