Domaine Anne Boisson - Meursault Les Chevalieres 2023
Domaine Anne Boisson is one of the most confidential and sought-after signatures of Meursault, recognized for its highly rigorous approach and uncompromising reading of the terroirs. Heir to the work of Bernard Boisson, Anne Boisson runs her estate with extreme demands, favoring the purity of the fruit, tension, and transparency of the soils. The Les Chevalières climate is located on the upper slope, above the village of Meursault, on very limestone, poor, and stony soils, close to those of Puligny-Montrachet. This elevated and well-ventilated position favors slow ripening and a particularly slender expression of Chardonnay. Les Chevalières is reputed for producing wines of great finesse, more upright than demonstrative. The 2023 vintage highlights this racé and airy character.
The Meursault Les Chevalières 2023 stands out for a very pure and chiselled aromatic profile, marked by notes of fresh lemon, crunchy apple, and white flowers, accompanied by a very clear chalky minerality. The palate is straight, tense, and precise, carried by a fine acidity that structures the wine with elegance. The matter is delicate but deep, gradually revealing a beautiful density under a silky texture. The saline and stony sensation underlines the very limestone origin of the terroir. The aging, carried out with great discretion, accompanies the wine without ever masking its freshness or readability. The whole offers an impression of verticality and great purity.
The 2023 vintage confirms the aging potential and gastronomic dimension of this cuvée. At the table, Les Chevalières ideally accompanies fine fish, crustaceans, or refined dishes with delicate textures. Its tension, length, and precision make it a tasting wine for lovers of slender and mineral Meursaults. This cuvée perfectly embodies the Anne Boisson style, based on restraint, energy, and accuracy. A Meursault of high expression, subtle and deeply rooted in its terroir.
