Originating in Veracruz, Kahlúa has established itself as the world's leading coffee liqueur. Its personality is based on the masterful blend of 100% Arabica coffee, rum, and sugar, resulting in a delicious and instantly recognizable profile.
High-altitude Arabica coffees are roasted and brewed to extract an intense aromatic concentrate. This is then blended with rum and sugar to create a silky-smooth liqueur, where the noble bitterness of the coffee is balanced with a subtle sweetness.
Kahlúa can be enjoyed neat or on ice, and shines in cocktails:
Espresso Martini: vodka + Kahlúa + espresso.
White Russian: vodka + Kahlúa + cream.
Black Russian: vodka + Kahlúa.
In the kitchen, it enhances desserts: tiramisu, brownies, chocolate fondant, ice creams and cheesecakes (as a topping or incorporated into the mixture). Also excellent for flambéing a pear or flavoring a custard.
Serve between 8 and 10°C over ice, or at room temperature for maximum roundness. Store the bottle upright, away from light and heat; close carefully after use to preserve the coffee aromas.
