The Tequila 7 Leguas is a legendary house from Jalisco, Mexico, recognized as one of the last great traditional distilleries still independent. Founded by the Camarena family, it embodies an authentic and historical vision of tequila, faithful to the original artisanal methods. 7 Leguas is notably famous for having long supplied the personal tequila of the Sauza family before forging its own path. The estate works exclusively with blue agave grown at altitude, with extreme attention paid to the maturity of the plants and the slow transformation of the raw material. Here, there is no search for marketing effects, but a quest for accuracy, depth, and respect for the original taste of tequila.
The Tequila 7 Leguas Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens, then crushed using mechanical methods that respect the fiber. After fermentation and double distillation, the tequila is aged for several months in American oak barrels, which gives it roundness and complexity without masking the identity of the agave. This resting time smooths the edges while maintaining great freshness and a faithful expression of the terroir. Bottled at 38%, this Reposado represents a perfect balance between the purity of a blanco and the woody softness of an aged tequila. On tasting, the 7 Leguas Reposado shows itself to be elegant, indulgent, and perfectly balanced.
