Château YON-FIGEAC 2000
Château Yon-Figeac is a Saint-Émilion property which is ranked as a Grand Cru Classé in the official 2012 classifications. The property was once part of the much larger Château Figeac property.
The estate is spread over 25 hectares of vines on sand and clay soils with iron deposits. More than 85% of the vineyard is planted with Merlot, while Cabernet Franc takes up 10% and 4% is planted to Petit Verdot.
Yon-Figeac is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. It is typically aged for 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, which around 35% is new.
