Champagne Chartogne Taillet - Cuvée Sainte Anne
Chartogne-Taillet is located in Merfy , in the Montagne de Reims region of Champagne . The estate has existed since 1683, when the Taillet family began cultivating vines in Merfy. It is still a family estate, managed by Alexandre Chartogne-Taillet since 2006. The 11 hectares of the vineyard are divided into 13 separate plots on a clay-sand terroir. Alexandre Chartogne-Taillet uses organic farming methods and has abandoned the use of synthetic herbicides, but is not certified.
The Sainte Anne cuvée is a blend of Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir (40%) and Meunier (10%) . Half of it is made up of wines from the year 2022 , and the other half is made up of older wines (2 to 5 years of reserve). Sainte Anne is aged and vinified in 228, 350 and 2000 liter barrels for 9 months . A small part of this Champagne has aged in vats, mainly the reserve wines. After aging in the cellar, the wine was disgorged in March 2025 with a dosage of 2.5 g/L .
Grape varieties: 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 10% Meunier
"Sainte Anne is the estate's identity card: a fine effervescence, a mineral structure marked by the sands of Merfy, and a full mouthfeel between the tension of the Chardonnay and the flesh of the Pinot Noir. A balanced cuvée, both classic and unique, perfect with grilled fish or a mature parmesan as an aperitif."
