Domaine d'Eugénie, located in Vosne-Romanée, embodies the finesse and rigor that have made the reputation of the greatest wines of the Côte de Nuits. Built on the foundations of the former René Engel estate, it relies on demanding and respectful viticulture, where each intervention aims to express the purity of the terroir. The carefully cultivated vines produce perfectly ripe grapes, vinified with artisanal precision and a constant concern for balance.

The Vosne-Romanée 2023 reflects the estate's signature: intensity, elegance, and precision. Produced from several plots ideally located on the village's hillsides, this wine showcases the full complexity of Vosne Pinot Noir. Vinification, conducted in open vats with partial destemming, prioritizes gentle extractions. Aging, in oak barrels for twelve months, refines the tannins and adds a subtle aromatic dimension without ever overpowering the fruit. The 2023 vintage, of great purity, combines richness and freshness in a rare balance.

The nose opens with delicate aromas of ripe red fruits, dried rose, and licorice, enhanced by a subtle hint of wood. On the palate, the wine seduces with its velvety texture and linear energy. The supple, tight tannins frame a precise and vibrant fruit. The long, caressing finish reveals notes of sweet spices and warm stone, typical of the Vosne terroir.

This Vosne-Romanée is the perfect accompaniment to tournedos Rossini, roast duck, or truffle risotto. Serve between 15 and 16°C, after a brief airing.
